They provide "interpeted" biodiversity information designed in a user-friendly, colour illustrated format for key development planning, educational, land management and other stakeholders in the Four Corners area who do not necessarily wish to have detailed technical or academic information. They are aimed at creating awareness about the importance of biodiversity issues, encouraging stakeholders to use scientifically-sound biodiversity information in their work, and providing a framework within which conservation actions can better be targeted for maximum effectiveness on the ground.
